What are God’s attributes?
The attributes of God are the characteristics that reveal who He is, what He is like, and the nature of His being. While our human understanding is limited, God has chosen to make Himself known through His Word and creation. Through this revelation, we can begin to grasp the nature of our Creator.
God is unique and incomparable, unlike anything or anyone we could ever imagine. Our words are simply inadequate to fully describe His holiness. Yet, He has graciously given us His Word as a way to understand these attributes, allowing us to know Him more deeply.
This fall, we welcome you to join us as we explore the character of God through the eyes of four local women from our community. Each week, they'll share their personal stories and insights, offering powerful testimonies on what it looks like to trust in God's faithfulness, rely on His strength, and experience His love. Come to the Attributes of God women's Bible study and be encouraged as we learn from one another and deepen our understanding of who God is.
Meet our Week 1 Speaker for The Attributes of God Bible Study: Denise Adams
I am a Christ follower, wife to my husband for 48 years, friend to my adult daughter, heart mom to my son-in-law, and affectionately dubbed “Nana Banana” to two delightful grandsons. Since retiring I fill my days sipping good coffee, mining treasures from God’s Word, meeting friends for lunch and losing all track of time in my sewing room. My deepest longing is to know God intimately and I plan to spend the rest of my life growing in my knowledge and love for Him.
A verse that keeps me grounded is found in Exodus 15:2 “The Lord is my strength and my song, And He has become my salvation; this is my God and I will praise Him.”
Meet our Week 2 Speaker for The Attributes of God Bible Study:
Stephanie Hodson
My name is Stephanie Hodson. Born and raised in Santa Ana, California. In January of 1993 I married the love of my life, Ron, and moved to the Temecula Valley, CA. God grew our family in November of ’94 when Joey and Joshua arrived at their door with all of their belongings tucked inside a little tykes wagon. Joey was 3, Joshua was 2. God grew these boys in our
hearts and we were able to adopt them in the Fall of ’96.
In November of 2002, in obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we moved to Dickinson ND, and planted a Calvary Chapel, where we continue to serve today.
In October of 2008, after being told by Doctors we would never have a biological child, God once again proved that with Him NOTHING is impossible. Corban James entered the world on July 15, 2008. Our lives, although abundantly blessed, have not been without challenges, obstacles or trials, but through them all, God continues to prove Himself faithful. In the last 20+ years, we have learned what it means to “count the cost”, “consider it all joy”, “give thanks in all circumstances” and so much more. God is SOO Good!
A favorite verse of mine is:
Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all
your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Meet our Week 4 Speaker for The Attributes of God Bible Study:
Angelina Ramsay
Heeey!! I’m Angelina Ramsay, a woman of faith, family and fun! I am the proud mother to 3 now adult children who I share with my amazing & loving husband of 28 years - David!
I enjoy spending time with family and friends as much as possible! I love traveling, whether to see family and friends back home or out of the country to share the gospel and love of Jesus! And everywhere in between!
When I’m not traveling, I enjoy hosting a weekly night of fellowship with dinner, prayer and worship with my husband.
I am blessed to have a greenhouse where I grow a variety of houseplants and trees! I’ve seen miracles from God happen right in my greenhouse!! (That’s a whole different beautiful story and testimony!)
I’m just a girl who loves Jesus because He loves me more!
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming gathering, which has been RELOCATED to the KBRS law building on Tuesday, July 29, at 6:30pm - due to possible rain. The new venue features a recently renovated fellowship room (use North door) that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere.
This gathering is open to all women, and we encourage you to join us, whether or not you have participated in the 41 Day Challenge. Who created the 41 Day
Stepping Into Strength Challenge?
Hi- my name is Shannon, I live in Dickinson, ND and I have been personal training for over 20 years. I love helping others live their best life and realize that everyone has different goals and challenges. I want to help individuals be physically capable to enjoy life to the fullest!
Stepping Into Strength was developed with my love of building health programs and passion for helping woman be strong in body and faith and then channeling the power of prayer to help others heal or improve their health.
This program is personal to me as over a year ago, I was struggling with sudden onset back/hip pain that really did not allow me to live my life and enjoy things I wanted to. There were many times I prayed for strength, sleep, help, or healing and I know that the support and prayer of others helped me. Now, I want to help others. We all know someone who is suffering and needs healing.
Can you image the power of 100 of us praying for 41 days? I hope you will join us for this challenge. Your 41 is coming!
All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. A cunning, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you – your emotions, your mind, your family, your future. BUT HIS REIGN STOPS RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW. WITH YOU. The enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. A woman who is armed and dangerous. This Bible study is an action plan based on Ephesians 6:10-18 for putting on your armor and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory against the enemy. Yes! A strategy. TARGETED, SPECIFIC, PRECISE, DETAILED. Join us as Priscilla Shirer guides us through a 7 Session Bible study that will bring to light the war around you and challenge you to suit up, stand firm, and secure victory in your life! [Sorry, no children please]
